Video Planning!

After researching and gathering knowledge of different commercial conventions, the next step in the music video project is planning. I've decided since I am working alone, I will be the sole actor of the project. So I won't be able to act and film all the time. As a solution, my siblings will sometimes control the camera! Over that, since I am just one actor I will rake advantage of setting and scenery shots. With these extra shots I can fill up the runtime, and will require less assistance. Creative control of the camera shots will be solely mine.

Since my music video requires simple and modest settings and props, I will not need anything grand. I will find an appealing park, or natural area for outdoor shots. Another option would be filming on the beach, since its a music sound and the complicated ambient audio won't be an issue. Indoor scenes will be shot in my bedroom, to encapsulate that indie-pop vibe. ANother idea I had was to do a projector scenes for my eye-catching visuals. I would find an aesthetic moving at video, and play it over my face while lyrics play. For this, I would need to acquire a pojector or work something ou with a TV! To film the entire commecial, and iPhone camera will be used. This can make editing easy, as it will be as simply as selecting clips from my library. I'm most familiar with this device as well. Just like the commercial creation process, I will use InShot to edit!
