Pre-Production: Further Brainstorming

As I continue on with my final task project, more ideas have been forming as I get to the more technical parts. While I created my script, it was a representation of the very first view of what I wanted my project to be. The script contained the original plan of my story. Since then, I've come to the realization that what I came up with may be too short to fill the two-minute time slot. To fix this I'm not going to add more lines because I believe that many complicate it and should be saved for another planning day. Instead, I'm going to plan to draw out certain shots. For example, there could be a bit of an intro that jus focuses on a window. The inclusion of this shot will be a clever way of adding time to the takes without interfering with any plot. This was a tactic I used for my first two projects. In my music video, you can see I added an intro with a still shot. Like that last project, I made start adding in a short sequence like that o display the production company and actors names, all of that stuff.

Some more brainstorming I have had to do involves the makeup side of it. The fact that I will need to do one of the actors makeup has completely crossed my mind. However, it will be something I need to gather materials for. Earlier I watched a tutorial on how to create an undead look. I have made a a list of supplies which include black eyeshadow, purple eyeshadow, and a white powder to wash out their face.

Another aspect of my final task project I've been considering is schedule. In previous projects, I have had a tendency to procrastinate. For the last project, I filmed the night before it was due. Not even the day, the night! I don't want a repeat of last time, so it's important I carefully organize a time table to get everything done. Looking at my schedule, my filming day will be on April 3rd. Editing and all will be a slow process after, not rushed. There is more to come, so stay tuned for the rest of my production process!
