Script Finalization

Writing a script is a process that can take a lot of time and effort, and it can be tempting to rush through the final stages to get it done. Especially as I move forward with my final task project, many new ideas have formed over time. Additionally, I think I have lost interest in some previous ideas. But, finalizing my script is one of the most important steps in my process, and it's important to take the time to get it right. That is why I have dedicated some time to tuning up my script. And that is what this blog will be discussing!

One thing you may have noticed is the title! That's right, I have officially chosen a title for my opening sequence. While it took a bit of contemplating, I believe this one fits the themes of the project overall. However, with my apparent indecisiveness, I predict I will, in fact, change my mind about it later on. We can only find out!

Taking a break from my script has helpt the writing process. Now that it has been a few weeks, I can come back to it with fresh eyes and a brand-new perspective. First, I've re-done the formatting. I looked over the way professional scripts are written, with a specific font and layout. I've reformed m,y script to fit this form, making it not only more efficient bet more appealing to the eye. The website "StudioBinder" published a very informative article stating on how to do so. I simply looked at their instructions and applied them to the very rough draft I originally attached to an earlier blog.

Another thing I've done is edit for grammar and punctuation. It is important my script is understandable to my actors. With my very rushed typing, there were many mistakes originally made. But with this extra time dedicated to tuning the writing up, my actors can surely read their lines correctly.
